  12         You stagger to your feet and climb the spiral steps \r\8a  until you come to a landing where several corridors \r\8a  converge. Some of these corridors are occupied by \r\8a    gaolers and other officials of Sesketera's citadel \r\8a   who are going about their duties. Then you hear the \r\8a  sound of footsteps ascending the stairs behind you, \r\8a  and this sound reminds you of the pressing need to \r\8a   keep moving. You draw upon your Magnakai disciplines \r\8a of Huntmastery and Pathsmanship to help you choose \r\8a   the best route of escape and, to your surprise, in \r\8a   doing so you discover a secret panel in the wall at \r\8a  the head of the stairwell. You reach out and press a \r\8a raised stud and the concealed panel slides open to \r\8a   reveal a narrow passageway beyond. Quickly you enter \r\8a this passage before your pursuers appear, and the \r\8a    panel automatically clicks shut behind you.\r
