>TM 4 >LS 2 >PS ON >PL66 >SM6 >CP ON >FO OFF >------L-----------------------!---------------------------R δ299δ You follow Grooja out of his hut and along a vermin- Š infested path which wends a tortuous route through a Š maze of slum dwellings and festering rubbish dumps. Š After a mile or so, this rough track ascends into a Š wooded hillside and then ends upon a plateau which Š overlooks the harbour. From here you can see Jenkshi Š and his crew working on ιThe Azanι by the light of a Š hundred oily torches. With undisguised pride, Grooja Š points to the Shrine of the Oracle and invites you to Š avail yourself of its wisdom. The shine consists of a Š man-sized statue constructed from rusting metal and Š chunks of driftwood held together with nails, strips Š of animal skin, and twisted steel wire. You decide to Š humour Grooja and so you ask the statue to tell you Š if there is anyone you should trust of distrust Š during your long journey to Suhn. As expected, you Š get no response. But then a wind arises and it makes Š a faint whistling sound as it passes through the Š holes in the statue. For a fleeting moment you think Š you hear the words 'ιBad...dragon...is goodι', but then Š the wind dies and there is nothing but silence. Š Grooja smiles. He seems to think that the oracle has Š spoken a great truth. "Come, we go now. The Oracle speaks but once a day. Š It has given you good wisdom. You are blessed." Turn to β139β
