	âAnimal Masteryâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who possess this discipline 
Š	are able to deter predatory animals in the wild by 
Š	exuding a scent which is repellent to them. In order 
Š	for this improved discipline to work effectively, a 
Š	Grand Master Superior must be aware of the species of 
Š	predatory animal he/she wishes to deter. The scent can 
Š	only be detected by the targetted animal.
	
	âAssimilanceâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who possess this skill are 
Š	able to create a noise and project it up to 50 feet 
Š	away from their location. The noise is akin to the 
Š	rumbling sound of thunder and it can be used to 
Š	distract or divert an enemy's attention. This improved 
Š	discipline requires a degree of preparation and 
Š	therefore it cannot be used during combat. 
	
	âAstrologyâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who possess this discipline 
Š	are skilled in the use of all mechanical devices 
Š	designed to measure and/or observe the cosmology of 
Š	Magnamund. Such devices include sextants, astrolabes, 
Š	and orreries.

	âHerbmasteryâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who have this discipline 
Š	are able to purify water thereby making contaminated 
Š	or briny water suitable for consumption. Roughly two 
Š	pints of water per day can be purified using this 
Š	skill alone. This daily total steadily increases as a 
Š	Grand Master advances in rank.                                            

	âElementalismâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who possess this skill are 
Š	able to condense pure water out of the surrounding 
Š	air. This water can be made to fall as a fine spray or 
Š	as a sudden deluge. It can also be made to fill any 
Š	suitable container or receptacle. Using this skill, 
Š	Grand Master Superiors can create the equivalent of 
Š	one large bucketful of fresh water.

	âBardsmanshipâ
	Kai Grand Master Superiors who possess this discipline 
Š	are able to utilize their musical skills to pacify
	an excited or hostile animal.
