You are ushered upstairs to where a \r\8a young girl lies in a darkened room. She has a fever \r\8a and a sickly grey palour that makes her look more \r\8a than twice her age. You recognise at once that she is \r\8a suffering from Mysua. It is a disease that is spread \r\8a by swamp flies and is not uncommon among the jungle-\r\8a dwellers of Shadaki. \r

Within a few hours her fever has disappeared \r\8a and a heathy colour returns to her face. She is \r\8a the widow of a wealthy trader who was killed at sea \r\8a when his ship was attacked and plundered by \r\8a buccaneers. When her only daughter recently fell ill \r\8a with fever, she feared she was going to lose her as \r\8a well. She rarely goes to the market, yet a strange \r\8a compulsion made her go today. She cannot explain, but \r\8a the moment she saw you she knew that it was within \r\8a your power to save her daughter's life.\r

When you rise at dawn, \r\8a you are feeling fresh and eager to continue your \r\8a journey to the Isle of Lorn. Gladly you accept her generous gift and you \r\8a bid them both a fond farewell before you set off \r\8a along 'The Dragon's Tail' - the name given by the \r\8a natives of this region to the overland route from \r\8a Masama to the city of Kitaezi. \r
