Patiently you bide your time until an \r\8a hour later, when you hear footsteps in the corridor \r\8a outside followed by the sound of the tumbler lock \r\8a spinning. The door creaks open and in strides the \r\8a Knight Bachelor, accompanied by an escort of six \r\8a armed guards. The knight is holding a short-bladed \r\8a sword in one hand, and a wooden bowl filled with \r\8a vile-smelling gruel in the other. He offers to bowl \r\8a to Prince Karvas at arm's length.\r

+ "Welcome to your royal apartment," he says, in a \r\8a sneering tone. "I've had the cook prepare you some \r\8a food after your long journey home, Prince Karvas. I \r\8a do hope you enjoy it. It's a meal fit for a king who \r\8a will never be."\r

+ Karvas is angered by the knight's insolence and he \r\8a slaps the bowl of gruel out of his hand. The arrogant \r\8a knight laughs, but before he can step away and leave \r\8a the cell, you spring forward like a pouncing tiger \r\8a and attempt to grab the sword from his hand. \r
+ "Slay him!" screeches the knight, as he struggles to \r\8a free himself. Instantly the guards rush at you with \r\8a their weapons raised in eager readiness to carry out \r\8a his order.\r
