+ Painfully you stagger to your feet and try to focus \r\8a on your surroundings. Through a pall of smoke you \r\8a hear the groans of wounded crewmen and the crackling \r\8a buzz of electrical arcing. Steam rises from a gaping \r\8a hole in the stern deck and a fire rages around the \r\8a base of the mainmast. Prince Karvas emerges unscathed \r\8a from the rope locker and quickly he helps you to \r\8a smother this fire. Then he gives first aid to a \r\8a crewman who is lying nearby, nursing a broken knee. \r\8a Acraban comes staggering out of the smoke. His robes \r\8a are torn and a trickle of blood runs from a cut above \r\8a his right ear. You use your Kai curing skills to heal \r\8a the wizard's wound and then together you help \r\8a evacuate the injured crewmen from the crippled \r\8a skyship. Acraban orders Bo'sun Gora to go and assess \r\8a the state of the crew. He returns shortly and reports \r\8a that from the ship's original compliment of ten men, \r\8a three are now missing, three are wounded, and one is \r\8a dead. The remaining three crewmen, himself included, \r\8a have survived the crash with only minor injuries. \r

+ Using your Kai curing skills, you ease the pain of \r\8a the badly injured crewmen before helping Karvas and \r\8a Gora to bury the dead man - Kuo the helmsman. The \r\8a area surrounding the crashed skyship is thickly \r\8a wooded and, with night fast approaching and a sky \r\8a heavy with clouds, it is impossible for you to \r\8a determine your exact location. Acraban proposes to \r\8a contact Lord Zinair and inform him of the disaster by \r\8a means of his seeing stone. But, to his dismay, he \r\8a soon discovers that the magical artefact has been \r\8a lost in the crash. \r

+ As the darkness of night envelops the smouldering \r\8a wreck of the \ 5éStarstrider\ 5é, you find it hard to \r\8a suppress a growing sense of despair. It is a mood \r\8a shared by the other survivors, and few words are \r\8a exchanged as you work together to erect a makeshift \r\8a shelter for the wounded beside the ship's battered \r\8a keel. When the shelter is finished, you each look for \r\8a a place nearby where you can lie down and attempt to \r\8a recover from the fatigue of your terrible ordeal. \r
