Create cover pages using a script for those books that do not have it - as is the case for all the Spanish Lone Wolf books. When regenerating the book the auto-generated cover image is used if none other is available.

Do not make file rules depend on a PHONY target as this will make them run in all cases, even when it is not required (target is updated). Instead, have the check individually in all the targets. Yes, this means repeating code, but prevents regeneration of all files unless XML changes

Make font selection be based on the definition of SERIES. The appropiate fontdir is defined
(either external to SVN or local to SVN)

Add sanity checks to make sure that all required variables are defined before going further.

Add script to spellcheck using aspell as ispell cannot be used any longer now that the files are in UTF-8. Also add a dictionary to use with aspell.

Remove textellipsis because it causes an error when used within chapter names (as in 'The Story So far'. LaTeX processing breaks with an error: "A one-character control sequence belongs after a ' character" because these characters are not valid in headers. Since we only compile for English and Spanish the ellipsis as ... should be fine
