  11         You bid Kol good luck and wish him a safe voyage \r\8a     before you and your companions collect your horses \r\8a   and set off from the tavern. The streets of Bir \r\8a      Rabalou are quiet this morning and you reach the \r\8a     city's south gate without incident. Here you gallop \r\8a  through the open gates to avoid any risk of being \r\8a    detained by the surly guards. They shout and curse \r\8a   you and loose off a few arrows in your wake, but \r\8a     these are poorly aimed and you escape from the city \r\8a  unharmed.\r

  13         It is approaching noon when you arrive at a junction \r\8a where the coast road splits in two. Ahead of you are \r\8a the gentle foothills of the Koneshi Mountains, and \r\8a   beyond them you glimpse the snowy peaks of the great \r\8a range rising majestically into the cloudless sky. \r\8a    Away to the east you can see the rugged coastline of \r\8a southern Vassagonia where the cresting ocean waves \r\8a   break their backs upon wild and rocky beaches. \r

  15         A signpost at the junction points to the east and to \r\8a the south. To the east it reads: KHOR - 100 MILES / \r\8a  BISUTAN - 225 MILES. To the south it reads: KONESHI \r\8a  PASS TO BISUTAN - 125 MILES.\r
