  11         As you stagger to your feet from beneath the tangle \r\8a  of debris, you look along the main deck and see that \r\8a brave Captain Jenkshi has taken over the helm. With \r\8a  grim determination he steers his battered ship \r\8a       relentlessly towards the channel. You see him cursing \r\8a        the enemy captain and shaking his fist defiantly at \r\8a  the villainous Shadakine gunners as their cannonballs \r\8a        whistle across the decks of \ 5éThe Azan\ 5é, then a gust of \r\8a     wind fills the torn mainsail and the ship begins to \r\8a  pull away from the lumbering man o'war. A second \r\8a     broadside falls wide of its mark, and Jenkshi's bold \r\8a plan finally pays off when the enemy ship is forced \r\8a  to veer away for fear beaching her hull in the \r\8a       shallows. The crew cheer loudly when they see her red \r\8a        sails falling away to the stern and \ 5éThe Azan\ 5é is left \r\8a     alone to make a swift passage through the islet \r\8a      channel. You make your way along the debris-strewn \r\8a   deck to congratulate Jenkshi on his masterful display \r\8a        of seamanship. He accepts your praise and the cheers \r\8a of his crew with a rueful smile, even though his \r\8a     skill and his coolness under enemy fire have \r\8a undoubtedly saved the ship and the lives of all \r\8a      aboard. However, as the ship emerges on the far side \r\8a of the islets, you soon discover that more than just \r\8a Jenkshi's bravery will be needed if everyone aboard \r\8a  \ 5éThe Azan\ 5é is to live to tell the tale of their deadly \r\8a     encounter with the buccaneers of Shadaki.\r
