  11         A little way past the fork, the trail passes around a \r\8a        rocky escarpment and ascends through dense jungle to \r\8a a forested ridge. Beyond the ridge lies a deep gorge, \r\8a        spanned by a sturdy rope bridge. The floor of the \r\8a    bridge is laid with shorn timbers that are wide \r\8a      enough to allow a wagon to pass. You ride onto the \r\8a   bridge and you are half way across when its timber \r\8a   floor begins to sway violently. Quickly you dismount \r\8a and use your Kai disciplines of animal control to \r\8a    calm your startled horse. There seems to be no reason \r\8a        for the bridge to be pitching back and forth, but \r\8a    when you look over the side you catch sight of a rope \r\8a        that is attached to its underside. This line descends \r\8a        to a crevice in the wall of the gorge and it is being \r\8a        repeatedly pulled taut and then released. From out of \r\8a        the crevice there issues a commanding voice: "\ 5éThrow \r\8a        your money and possessions into the gorge!\ 5é" When you \r\8a       hesitate to obey, the voice says: "\ 5éDo it now, or \r\8a   you'll never get off the bridge alive!\ 5é"\r
