  11         You hurry with Lord Rimoah through the corridors of \r\8a  the Tower of Truth towards the sound of the tolling \r\8a  bell, until at last you arrive at a chamber located \r\8a  below its vaulted presidium. Gathered here are the \r\8a   members of the High Council. They stand in a circle \r\8a  around the cloaked body of Lord Casis which lies upon \r\8a        a bed of shimmering crystals. A cocoon of light \r\8a      encases his frail form, its pale luminescence \r\8a        shedding an uncanny glow upon the faces of the \r\8a       surrounding elders. Rimoah joins them, and as you \r\8a    observe this eerie scene, you recall Lone Wolf's \r\8a     teachings at the Kai Monastery. \r

  13         The Elder Magi are all that remain of the race of \r\8a    beings from whom all goodly magic stems. They were \r\8a   sent to Magnamund almost ten thousand years ago by \r\8a   the Gods Kai and Ishir to defeat Agarash the Damned, \r\8a Naar's first champion, and they triumphed in their \r\8a   task. Yet, in a later age their numbers were \r\8a decimated by a plague and the few thousands who \r\8a      survived this tragedy sought refuge here in Dessi. \r\8a   The Elder Magi have always aided Sommerlund and have \r\8a been loyal and invaluable allies to the Kai. But now \r\8a their ancient power is waning, and the few thousands \r\8a who survived the Great Plague now number less than \r\8a   one hundred.\r

  15         Suddenly the bell ceases to toll and you watch in awe \r\8a        as the fragile remains of Lord Casis gradually fade \r\8a  from sight. He has ended his time here upon Magnamund \r\8a        and has passed over into the Plane of Light, the \r\8a     ethereal domain of the Gods Kai and Ishir. Silently \r\8a  the remaining elders file out of the chamber. As Lord \r\8a        Rimoah passes, he beckons you to follow him. \r

  17         "You are the first Kai who has ever witnessed the \r\8a    ascension of an Elder," he says, as he takes you back \r\8a        to your room. "Alas, our power ebbs with each passing \r\8a        year for this is the twilight of our existence here \r\8a  on Magnamund. Yet, we embrace our fate, for even as \r\8a  we weaken and fade so the power of the New Order Kai \r\8a grows stronger. This is the dawning of your Age, \r\8a     Grand Master. You and your brothers shall carry \r\8a      forward the fight against Naar, and you shall be \r\8a     victorious."\r

  28         Upon reaching your room, Lord Rimoah bids you \r\8a        goodnight and reminds you that he shall call for you \r\8a an hour before dawn. You retire to bed but remain \r\8a    awake for more than an hour as you contemplate the \r\8a   quest that lies ahead. You are apprehensive of the \r\8a   dangers you may encounter, but you are also greatly \r\8a  inspired by what you have witnessed this night and by \r\8a        Rimoah's prophetic words of wisdom.\r

  30         No sooner have you fallen asleep it seems, than you \r\8a  are awoken by Rimoah's knock on the door. You gather \r\8a your weapons and belongings and walk with him through \r\8a        a procession of torchlit corridors that lead to the \r\8a  entrance to the Tower. As you approach the main \r\8a      doors, Rimoah points to a chamber closeby.\r

  32         "That is the Tower Armoury, Grand Master," he says, \r\8a  "You are welcome to inspect it and take whatever you \r\8a wish before you embark upon your voyage."\r
