  13         The River Ioma is the political boundary between the \r\8a realms of Lunarlia and Siyen. For centuries, Voshno \r\8a  has been claimed by both kingdoms and its inhabitants \r\8a        have grown used to the disruption that comes from \r\8a    living astride a border between two frequently \r\8a       warring nations. Currently the hamlet is divided \r\8a     evenly. You notice that Prince Karvas is smiling as \r\8a  he rides with you away from the river, and you ask \r\8a   him why this is so, especially after having just been \r\8a        fleeced by the boorish toll collector. He explains \r\8a   that this half of Voshno is Siyenese territory, part \r\8a of his native country. After ten years in exile he \r\8a   has at last returned to his homeland. \r

  15         There is less than an hour left before it will be \r\8a    dark, and so you suggest to him that you stop at an \r\8a  inn to celebrate his return home over a tankard of \r\8a   Siyenese ale. He agrees, and you ride into the \r\8a       courtyard of the nearest tavern. Outside its door \r\8a    there hangs a board displaying the prices of its \r\8a     food, ale and lodging. Its list of charges have all \r\8a  been struck out and replaced with new figures that at \r\8a        ten times more than the original costs. Shocked by \r\8a   the exorbitant prices, you decide to forego your \r\8a     celebratory ale and leave Voshno. \r
